"I came across your website while searching Connecticut businesses that would be a great fit for an upcoming International Self-Care Day feature on Great Day Connecticut. As the founder of Absolutely No Hair, you've spent more than 20 years helping clients gain confidence through permanent hair removal. I thought your unique approach to self-care and personal confidence would make for a compelling segment for our viewers."
What a way to end the day this late Wednesday evening in June! I was so surprised that I had to read it again to make sure I wasn't misreading, or imagining it. But I wasn't.
I had just been invited to appear on WFSB Channel 3's morning program, Great Day Connecticut!
The producer invited me to connect with them the following day to discuss what the segment included and the requirements of working together. That conversation started an exciting journey, and now I'm delighted to invite you to tune in at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24—International Self-Care Day—to watch the live segment on Great Day Connecticut!
I couldn't resist writing back, "Self-care is my middle name!" LOL!
July has always been a very special month for me. I was born on July 23rd, and I've always been inspired by the color red. Ruby, the birthstone for July, has long been one of my favorites. So, being invited by WFSB to participate in their International Self-Care Day program on July 24 couldn't have been more meaningful—or more thrilling!
Over the years, I've had countless clients walk into my electrolysis studio struggling with self-confidence and wondering whether electrolysis really provides permanent results. Those conversations often expanded into discussions about health, wellness, and lifestyle habits, eventually leading me to become a Health Coach and, more recently, a Nutrition Counselor, so I could share accurate information and help people achieve greater overall well-being.
When I graduated from the Electrology Institute of New England in 2002, I never imagined that I would one day celebrate nearly 25 years of serving others. I certainly never envisioned becoming a health coach, a nutrition counselor, or a published co-author in the women's anthology featuring my personal story, "The Hero in My Life: A Story of Courage and Transformation." Looking back, it has been one of the most joyful and transformative periods of my life.
And it all began with becoming a licensed Electrologist in the State of Connecticut and taking the leap to start my own business.
For more than two decades, I've worked with my hands—and with my heart. Like an artist with a paintbrush, I've been blessed to use my creative gifts to help others feel more confident in themselves. Along the way, I've gained experience, wisdom, and confidence of my own. I've built a business I love, met extraordinary people, and had the privilege of helping so many clients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
It has truly been my greatest pleasure to do work that I love, to continue growing personally and professionally, and to contribute in some small way to the lives of those I serve.
To all of my clients, friends, and supporters: thank you. Thank you for your trust, your friendships, and your business. Your support has sustained me financially, emotionally, and spiritually throughout these nearly 25 years, and I am deeply grateful.
I hope you'll join me on Great Day Connecticut Friday, July 24, at 9:00 a.m. as we celebrate International Self-Care Day together.
